Australian Jazz Convention

Jazz Ramble’s  header catches three musicians on a ramble around the Eagle Bar at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia at the 64th Australian Jazz Convention in December 2009.  They are Ollie Clark on sousaphone, Graham Eames on cornet, and John  Coultas on trombone.  The AJC is the oldest continuous jazz event of its type in the world, having begun in December 1946 in Melbourne, and is still going strong 66 years later.   This year’s convention will be held in Bundaberg, Queensland from Boxing Day to New Year’ Eve.    You can see what’s on offer at
