The Syncopators’ Euro Tour

THOSE wonderful musicians, The Syncopators, are gearing up for their 15th European tour, and need their legion of fans to help wing them on their way.

The SYNCS are holding a CD Launch and Fund-Raising Concert (with dancing) on Sunday 18th September at the Bentleigh Club, Yawla Street, Bentleigh.

And as the icing on the cake, the froth on the Guinness etc., George Washingmachine and Julie O’Hara will be Special Guest artists, revisiting their very successful recording partnership which has produced a number of CDs.

The event will run from 6.00pm to 9.30pm. Doors open at 5.00pm.
Tickets $55.00 each. Dinner (Main & Dessert) is included.
Bookings and further information from Roger and Anne Beilby on 03 9531 7551 or 0408 993 786.
This will be a very special night, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Here’s an example from the Syncopators’ trip to Germany in 2010. Listen to them play JUBILEE STOMP in the historic former Storckshof farmhouse – now a stunning venue in Dortmund – in May last year.

The lineup is Richard Miller, alto saxophone & clarinet; Jeff Arthur, banjo; Andy Swann, drums; Peter Gaudion, trumpet; Chris Ludowyk, trombone. The notes on YouTube claim that Stephen Grant is on piano, and James Clark on bass but I’m sure that’s a mistake. It could be Andy Ross on bass and David Allardice on piano, but I wouldn’t like to bet on it! The performance was recorded on 25 May 2010.

    • Hi Steve
Thanks for that info. I knew you have more hair than Peter, whom we saw at Noosa. The Syncs’ CD launch last Sunday was a great party. Cheers J
